Meniscus Mishap
Sorry for not posting for such a long time. ultracutebot kindly created this blog for me. I lost the username and password, but she sent them to me again, so I’ll be posting more often.
Anyway, I was supposed to perform at the September 23rd open mic night at the Reading Comedy Outlet, but I suffered an accident to my right knee earlier in the day and had to go the emergency room. After an x-ray, the doctor told me I most likely tore something. The nurses gave me an immobilizer and crutches, and I’ve been crutchin’ around town ever since. I followed up with my doctor, who suggested I get an MRI if my insurance would cover it. He told me his office would call me back in a few days. A week went by with no call, so I saw him again, and then he suggested an orthopedic doctor in Lancaster. The specialist told me I probably damaged my meniscus, so they’re going to do a MRI to be sure. Just to warn me, the orthopedic doctor said I MAY need to get surgery, but it’s not definite. It’s been 2 weeks and I still don’t have an exact answer as to what the problem is, but at least they didn’t have to saw my leg off while a burly male nurse held me down in lieu of anesthetic.
I’ve had an interesting two weeks, but I luckily have a loving fiancee who’s been taking care of me, driving me to work, and doing everything she can to help me out. I love her and I can’t wait until January 20.
On an off topic note, look for upcoming posts about comics, comedy, and anything else I feel like writing on here. Some of these posts may get VERY nerdy and obscure, so prepare yourselves with alcohol and an open Wikipedia tab. Bye for now!

Dude, I’ve been researching comedy club open mics for several hours today (and last night too…)
